The GCISD District Art Show is open now through April 22 at the Grapevine Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB). The community is invited to see works of art by students from every GCISD campus. The show is open the same hours as the Grapevine CVB: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m.–4 p.m.

GCISD residents 65+: Don’t miss our last Gold Card session of the school year: 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 8, at the Administration Building. The card grants free admission to GCISD fine arts and athletic events (excluding playoffs). Please arrive 10 minutes early to check in.

With the accumulation of snow today, and anticipated below-freezing temperatures overnight, Grapevine-Colleyville ISD will be closed Friday, January 10, 2025. All facilities will be closed and any scheduled practices and activities are also canceled. Any changes to weekend extracurricular activities will be communicated by the group’s sponsor or coach. GCISD’s 2024-2025 instructional calendar has a sufficient number of minutes to cover this weather-related closure and the days will not have to be made up. Have a safe and warm weekend, and we look forward to welcoming our staff and students back on Monday, January 13! **Please note that this closure does not impact the iUniversity Prep staff or student schedule.

As a reminder, this Friday, December 20, is an early release day for ALL GCISD students, except for those attending iUniversity Prep. Early voting begins today, Monday, October 21, and continues through Friday, November 1. Tarrant County registered voters can vote at any Vote Center location during Early Voting and on Election Day. 🎓 GCISD's annual College & Career Night is just around the corner! 🎓 Join us on Tuesday, October 22, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Grapevine High School to meet with representatives from over 120 universities, junior colleges, technical schools and military recruiters. The event is for all GCISD students. Plus, don't miss the FAFSA presentations at 6:15 and 6:55 p.m. in the lecture hall.

📣 College Colors Day and AVID Day are both on Friday, August 30, and we invite the GCISD community to wear their favorite college gear! 📣 This annual celebration promotes college readiness and the spirit that embodies the college experience. Use #WeAreGCISD and tag GCISD to show your college pride. AVID, which stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination, is a college and career readiness system and elective course offered in all GCISD middle schools, Colleyville Heritage High School and Grapevine High School.

Say “hello” to two-way messaging and classroom announcements in the GCISD app! With the addition of Rooms, our district app keeps getting better. Parents/guardians check your email or sms with instructions to sign up and access new features.

Last year, we reviewed the GCISD Emergency Response Protocol, but did you know that if there is a situation at your child's school, there are multiple ways to ensure you receive notification? To ensure you are informed, GCISD will send you text messages (for those who opted in during enrollment), emails and mobile app notifications, and post updates on district social media pages and websites.
