GCISD Holiday Card Winners

GCISD Fine Arts thanks all of the students for the amazing entries to this year’s Holiday Card Art Contest. Winners for the elementary, middle and high school levels have been selected. In addition to recognition at the December school board meeting, winning designs are printed as holiday cards that are sent on behalf of GCISD’s Board of Trustees and Superintendent Dr. Robin Ryan.

ClassLink Digital Winners

Congratulations to the winners of GCISD’s ClassLink Digital Design Challenge hosted by the Digital Learning and Technology Services Departments. As part of the challenge, middle and high school students were invited to submit digital art based on the district’s values of “Purpose, Innovation and Community.” Winning entries will be displayed as the background on the district’s ClassLink login screen. ClassLink is GCISD’s portal where students and parents login to access the district’s apps.

Bridges Career Fair Teaches Students About Soft Skills Needed to Land Opportunities

Tables with college information staffed by university or college representatives are typically expected at high school career fairs. But the career fair held on November 9 at Bridges Accelerated Learning Center offered those college/university connections and much more for students. The event also focused on skills and tips needed to land jobs.

iUniversity Prep Teacher Honored as Finalist for Presidential Award

GCISD is proud to share the news that iUniversity Prep teacher Cheri Palmer has been named one of Texas' three science finalists for the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST). Palmer and the other Texas finalists will be recognized by the State Board of Education on Friday, November 18.

Dads Club Gets Positive Reviews

The Dads Club at Colleyville Elementary School (CES)has increased the presence of positive role models and provides fun and engaging interactions with students. The club offers an array of involvement opportunities — from “Dads in the Gym” to “Donuts with Grownups” to “High-Five Fridays.”
